SALE OF LANDS AND TENEMENTS: According to Rule 15, Uniform District Court Rules; every purchaser at a judicial sale held by the Sheriff-except the lien holder to the extent that he or she uses his or her lien as his or her bid, is required to deposit 15% of their bid with the Sheriff's Department at 1616 Leavenworth Street no later than 4:00 p.m., the day of the sale, in cash or certified funds. This deposit will be held for disposition on the further order of the Court.
According to State Statute 33-117, the Sheriff is entitled to a Commission on this sale. This commission must be paid prior to a Sheriff's Deed being issued on the property. It is the responsibility of the successful bidder to consider these costs.
SALE OF GOODS AND CHATTELS: The Purchaser must make payment of the bid amount to: Timothy F. Dunning, Sheriff, at 1616 Leavenworth Street, no later than 4:00 p.m., the day of the sale, in cash or certified funds. Towing, moving, storage, administration fees, publication, locksmith costs and commission are in addition to the final bid amount.
